Following a ten year apprenticeship with James Russell Silversmiths, Tom McGurrin left Cape Ann, Massachusetts for New Hampshire. He and his wife bought land in the Lakes Region, then designed and built their own home and studio.

After years of metalsmithing experience, and studying under various jewelry artists, his work has grown in technical strength as well as in vision. “I enjoy exploring mixed metals, alternative surface treatments, and various forming techniques.”

McGurrin is a member of the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen, from whom he has won numerous awards. Other commendations have come from Niche, St Louis Art Fair, American Craft Council, Art on the Square (IL), and the La Quinta Art Festival.

McGurrin’s jewelry is sold nationwide in both wholesale and retail markets. He is a perennial presence at some of the nation’s premier craft shows including the American Craft Council Show in Baltimore, Cherry Creek, and the St Louis Art Fair.
